body, mind and spirit are not one, it creates disease. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is based on a broader perspective of the body's health status. TCM is rooted in nature and philosophy; we look at not just your physical but your emotional and spiritual environments. Our goal is to attain balance and harmony within the body based on the theory of Yin and Yang in the unity of opposites. The tools used by an acupuncturist differ from western medicine. TCM takes a holistic approach, applying treatment according to the differentiation of syndrome complexes (much like the differential diagnosis used in western medicine). The emphasis is on interconnectedness and change. When a patient comes to office with a headache we look at the patient as a whole and not just as having an isolated symptom. We investigate the root cause and treat it according to its unique pattern. Every treatment is tailored for each patient and all factors are considered. Chinese Medicine was developed thousands of years ago when western medicine was not available. Acupuncture is used for almost any health concern today. The dis-eases of today are as common as thousands of years ago. Over the last thousands of years the Chinese learned how to treat dis-eases with herbs and acupuncture before diagnostic techniques were even developed. Our goal is to combine the knowledge of Eastern medicine as well as Western medicine in a holistic environment to give you the best of both worlds.
